The collection consists of records of the Starrsville General Store from 1912-1937. The nineteen volumes include cashbooks, daybooks, invoices, records of accounts receivable and payable, and daily sales records. One volume is a register of domestic money orders purchased at the Starrsville Post Office.

The Starrsville General Store, a mercantile business founded in the early 1830's, was located in the Starrsville Community near Covington, Georgia. Formerly part of Henry County, the area is now in Newton County. Also known as "Starr Store" after its founders who were members of the Starr family, the business also housed a lodge hall where temperance and other groups met. Fuller was born in Mass. on Aug. 13, 1787. He moved to N.Y. (State) where he served as a member of the N.Y. Assembly and Senate. In 1837 he moved to Adrian (Mich.), where he served as a Representative from Lenawee County and Speaker of the House, 1841. Fuller also served as Assist. Postmaster under Pres. Harrison.
